Understanding common restore errors

It is very common to encounter errors when restoring records with GRAX due to changes in schema, related records, and permissions over time.

Therefore, GRAX treats restore as a progressive workflow; it will put as much data back as possible, expose SFDC API errors when encountered, and make it easy to progressively retry with object and field level override controls.

Following are common errors and tips on how to resolve them on the Salesforce side before retrying the restore.

You are trying to restore a record that references an object you do not have permission to.

  • Review your integration user permissions
  • Review the object that the ID refers to. The integration user may have SFDC license or object level permissions missing before it can create a record that references another record
