Self-Managed via AWS Marketplace

Prebuilt infrastructure purchased from AWS

The GRAX app provides backup, recovery, and data archive capabilities for customers who need to have ownership of backup data for their Salesforce instances. GRAX via AWS Marketplace is designed to satisfy customers with strict regulatory and compliance needs but who also lack public-cloud expertise. By purchasing via the AWS Marketplace, deploy GRAX quickly and easily all while avoiding yet another vendor approval process.

The GRAX offering can be found here.

Salesforce

The GRAX Managed Package is deployed into your Salesforce instance to provide access surfaces for your Salesforce users directly in the Salesforce UI. This includes Permission Sets and Lightning Web Components.

Salesforce access does require some management:

  • Configure IP restrictions in the Salesforce Setup UI to the IPs of your GRAX Cloud instance (provided by Support).
  • Add a Remote Site setting in the Salesforce configuration to allow communication to the GRAX app.
  • Manage access to the Salesforce environment for GRAX support staff by granting and revoking access using the Salesforce Grant Login Access feature.

CloudFormation

The GRAX infrastructure is provided as a CloudFormation template which, when run, deploys all necessary infrastructure for the GRAX app to operate. The template deploys all networking, storage, compute, and security assets needed to safely backup your data.

This Infrastructure is Your Infrastructure

The infrastructure deployed as part of a Marketplace installation is the responsibility of your team to support. While GRAX provides a designed and reviewed infrastructure template, GRAX Support cannot effectively provide assistance or troubleshooting in a cloud provider account and environment that we don't own or control. GRAX provides app level support regardless of implementation.
